Madeline Hess
Mental Health Practitioner
Madeline (she/her) is a graduate-level mental health practitioner who works with adults. She enjoys working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, and those navigating major life transitions. Madeline is particularly passionate about maternal mental health and supporting women through the challenges of pregnancy, postpartum, infertility, loss, and early parenthood.
As the parent of three young children, Madeline understands firsthand the highs and lows of parenting. She strives to provide a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients can process and grow through these major life transitions.
Madeline has specialized training in perinatal mental health, and previously led a group program for expectant and new mothers. Madeline is currently pursuing certification through Postpartum Support International as a Perinatal Mental Health Counselor.
Before becoming a therapist, Madeline worked in marketing and journalism. That experience continues to shape her approach to therapy and her commitment to curiosity – to help clients feel seen, heard, and to put their story into their own words. Madeline was also previously certified as a holistic health coach, which continues to inform her holistic approach to well-being.
Madeline is in her final year of her master’s in Counseling program at St. Mary’s University. Madeline is pursuing LPCC licensure in the state of Minnesota and works under the supervision of Jessy Conners, LMFT, and Michelle Peterson, LMFT.
Madeline is excited to bring her passion for maternal care and perinatal mental health to her counseling clients and can be reached at Madeline@MNMentalHealthConsulting.com
