Justina Kopp

BA, MFT Intern

Justina Kopp, BA (she/her) is a graduate-level intern who works with individual adults, couples, and families. She has a particular interest in perinatal mental health concerns including mood disorders, infertility, and pregnancy loss, and has completed the basic certificate course in perinatal mental health through Postpartum Support International. As a parent to quadruplets, Justina understands the challenges of pregnancy and parenting, and the adjustment that comes with this major life transition.

Justina has completed training in Level I Gottman Method Couples Therapy and enjoys working with couples looking to improve their communication and connection, and those in interracial and multicultural relationships. Justina also offers support for anxiety, depression, grief, and has a special interest in the neuroscience of mental health conditions. Her therapy approach is attachment and trauma-informed.

Justina previously worked in mentoring and ministry for several organizations in the community. She also served on an advisory board and supported initiatives related to anti-racism and equity through consulting, public speaking, and writing.

Justina received a bachelor’s degree from St. Thomas University, and is currently completing her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at St. Mary’s University of Minnesota, with an anticipated graduation date of May 2024. She works under the supervision of Michelle Peterson, LMFT.
