Jess Bachaus, MA (she/her) received her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University. She is trained in EMDR therapy and has ongoing training in Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy.
Jess enjoys providing individual and family therapy to adolescents (16+) and adults struggling with relationships, ADHD, post-traumatic stress, grief & loss, life transitions, depression, and anxiety.
Focusing on strengths and incorporating elements of mindfulness, existentialism, and EMDR, Jess uses a person-centered approach to develop warm, trusting therapeutic relationships with clients. She uses empathy to create a non-judgmental space for clients to untangle negative beliefs, explore purpose, and build self-compassion. Jess believes peace is possible and you are worthy of experiencing it.
Jess has gained experience over the past 2 years working with adolescents and adults in community mental health and outpatient clinical settings. She previously worked for 13 years with adults in career transition following job loss, and with children and teens struggling with grief and loss after the death of a loved one.
